Cake (n.): the art of transforming an undiscovered canvas into pure expression of beauty, emotion and lusciousness
I grew up baking anything and everything from whatever ingredients I could get my hands on. I remember one Halloween when I made 17 pumpkin pies to distribute to the neighbors. Experiments were my forte, and my parents often gave me free reign in the kitchen (sometimes to their chagrin) to express whatever creative ideas came to mind and menu. From cardamom muffins to blackberry brownies to cauliflower cheesecake, nothing was off the table. Guessing the “secret ingredient” became a frequent game among my friends.
Eventually, cakes began to attract my focus. I discovered cake to be a creative and therapeutic outlet that also brought significant joy and satisfied stomachs to those around me. So I decided to go one step further and share my cakes more broadly through Celeste Confections.
Cakes represent the most meaningful days of a person’s life: weddings, birthdays, graduations… They are visual centerpieces of shared times, milestones and connection. It is my hope to bring each customer a taste of beauty that reflects the inimitable beauty of their lives. It is an honor for me to contribute to any event by providing a cake, and I hope you enjoy eating the cake as much as I enjoy making it!
